I just wanted to drop you an email to say that the total solar generation since install has just passed the total energy consumption! Considering that the panels were installed in December I think this is fantastic and hopefully means that we will cover all our electricity requirements for the year by solar

In addition because of the export payments we have had a negative electricity cost for the last 60 days, so saving us plenty of cash to date and looking forward to more savings through the summer.

The big surprise has been that even on overcast days we still generate a reasonable amount of power, so we don’t need clear sunny skies (good job for anyone living in Cumbria).
