Solar Panel Servicing

There are hundreds of thousands of Solar PV systems in the UK that have been fitted by companies that no longer exist. Although solar is a very robust technology, inverters do fail, systems can develop faults and badly-fitted systems can leak. However, if your system is working well and producing approximately the same amount of power as it did the year before, then we would say just leave it doing its thing.

When is the best time to Service?

  • Inverter replacement: If your system stops producing or produces less than you would expect.
  • System inspection: Intermittent error lights appear on your inverter or monitoring device.
  • Bird netting: Pigeons nesting under panels can be a problem and bird netting often needs to be fitted to keep them out.
  • Panel cleaning: Older panels can get dirty and a good clean will only increase output and production. This can be done yourself or a by a willing window-cleaner with a hose pipe and a brush with a little washing up liquid.
  • Roof leaking: Love Solar and our associated roofers can undertake any roof work to replace or repair leaky roofs.
